The blogging world is now full to excess with wannabe bloggers and self crowned “style leaders”. In an already saturated market, there is one blogger who paved way before anyone even knew what “wordpress” was, and who has been trail blazing her way through the blogging stratosphere. That lady is Jules Sarinana of Sincerely Jules.
I am a gal who likes nothing better than taking time out for a manicure. I have, however, on many occasions found myself unable to take this time out when life and children get in the way. Well, move over ‘time-pressed mamas’, may I introduce the ‘last minute pseudo manicure.’ I have just discovered the world of new and improved fake, press on nails!
Before I had my three boys, I never thought I would write a sentence that contained the phrase…”I have found the perfect school run outfit.” The sentence in itself sounds awful; and also appears to demonstrate that you actually care what people think of you whilst dropping off your kids at 8 am in the morning!

My old favourite black ‘Self Portrait’ dress has become what I call “wardrobe gold”- namely, a ‘little black dress’ for all occasions, for all seasons, and most importantly…it is a dress that I feel great in. This dress will be my friend forever, and it is nigh impossible to usurp it from its “King of Dress” title. However, a close contender has subtly crept onto my radar and it is a total contrast to the lacy elegance that defines the designs of ‘Self Portrait’.
I love nothing more than discovering a new brand that ticks all the boxes, and this brand I have stumbled upon incorporates all the elements on my wish-list: style; luxuriant fabrics; and interesting use of techniques (such as embroidery, pleated prints and well thought out silhouettes.)
However, I seem to be a bit behind on the ‘& Other Stories’ bandwagon, as everyone seems to love this company already. But, this brand really does encapsulate everything I am looking for… apart from in the one area, where it spectacularly misses the mark. Continue Reading
Gone are the ASBO days of the nineties, and early naughties where anyone wearing a hoodie was arrested, or at least let off with a caution. The ASBO police would have a hard time nowadays at the fashion weeks, with half of the fashion industry trotting around in hoodies. That old guilty pleasure of stealing your other half’s baggy ‘Stüssy’ hoodie has now translated itself into a verifiable fashion behemoth, and this is one trend that, frankly, I am all over like a sweaty rash.
It’s Valentine’s Day with a difference. We asked best pals and business partners Jessica and Caroline from @notsuchamodelmum to let us in on the secret to great style and lasting friendship in our Palentine’s Day shoot special. Who needs cards when you can have cashmere instead?
Caroline and I love to steal from each other’s wardrobes. We both see this thievery as one of the pleasures of being good friends, and it is something we both cherish… Even if we never get the pieces back again ( Caroline, I am looking at you!). This coat (that belongs to me, and now sits happily in Caroline’s wardrobe in Barcelona) was, ahem, borrowed by Caroline and styled up in a completely contrasting way to how I would wear it.
