“Easy breezy?” “Go to outfit?” “Off duty?”
All these phrases make everything sound so simple and straightforward in a world with a mind-boggling array of choices. We like to keep things simple here at NotSuchAModelMum. For us, ‘easy breezy’ is pleather, aka plastic leather… Sounds horrific, but hear us out.
These Leather Look Pleather Leggings from ASOS cost £22, are simple, can be worn a multitude of ways and most importantly, when kids and their grubby little paws are involved, these leggings are wipe down. Who hasn’t been afraid of those fabric-busting Frube Tubes exploding everywhere at mealtimes? Well, with these pleather beauties, it doesn’t matter! Just grab a wet wipe and off you go!
Clearly, the skin-tightness of the leggings has to be balanced by something looser up top… otherwise you will be working the “Pretty Woman” look (pre-Richard Gere makeover). So, wear with a long, loose shirt or baggy statement jumper, as I have done here; especially if you want to cover your bottom (which, frankly, everyone does.) They also have an elasticated waist, which I am sure even Victoria Beckham can do with from time to time.
